Background
The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is associated with poor prognoses in patients with gastric cancer; however, few studies have focused on the dynamic changes in these ratios during adjuvant chemotherapy of patients with gastric cancer. We assessed changes of NLR before and after in patients with stage II or III gastric cancer who received adjuvant chemotherapy.
Methods
From 2009 to 2013, patients who received adjuvant chemotherapy with stage II, III were analyzed retrospectively. Chemotherapeutic regimens were S-1 regimen and FP regimen as adjuvant chemotherapy. Prechemotherapy NLR, postchemotherapy NLR or previous NLR before recurrence were assessed. The relationship between the changes of NLR (cNLR) and DFS(disease free survival) and OS(overall survival) were examined.
