The purpose of this study is to confirm the mediating effect of optimistic perceptional bias in the process of motor behavior intentions affecting motor behavior in adults. For the purpose of the study, 482 users of municipal facilities located in N-gu and Gyeonggi-do B city participated in the study. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and stepwise regression analysis were used for the study results. As a result of the study, it was found that the motor behavior intention had a significant effect on the motor behavior, and the motor behavior intention had a significant effect on the optimistic perceptional bias. In addition, the optimistic perceptional bias showed a partial mediating effect in the process of the motor behavior intention affecting the motor behavior. These results confirmed that discouraged perceptional bias can be an important factor in predicting motor behavior. Therefore, it is suggested that an effective method can be derived through research on optimistic perceptional bias in order to elicit the motor behavior of adults.
