Jujube (Zizyphus jujuba Mill.) belongs to the plant family Rhamnaceae that is widely distributed in the temperate and sub-tropical regions of northern hemisphere. In Korea, 95% of jujube orchard cultivated same cultivar ‘Bokjo’, which has suitable quality for fresh and dried jujube. The four different jujube cultivars named ‘Geumsung’, “Boeun’, ‘Mudeung’ and ‘Geumsung’ were registered in National Forest Seed Variety Center. However, the fruit characteristics and storage quality of these rare cultivars have not been investigated yet. The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the physicochemical quality of five cultivars of Korean jujube at harvest and during cold storage. The five cultivar fruit harvested on 12 October 2020, randomly packed into plastic container and stored at 3 ± 1°C for 8 weeks. Fruit weight of five cultivars showed a range of 10 ‒ 13 g at harvest; ‘Wolchul’ and ‘Geumsung’ exhibited 12.6 g and 10.4 g which is the highest and lowest value.
