The oxygen nanobbubbles (NBs), the gaseous bubble with a diameter of < 1 µm, are used in aquaculture to replenish dissolved oxygen (DO) and improve water quality. Since the germination of plants begins with water uptake in the seed, the use of NBs for seed germination would effective for subsequent seedling growth and improving nutrients solution. We study the seed germination and the seedling growth of radish, wheat, and barley. The irrigation was conducted by tap water (control, 12.8 mg·L<SUP>-1</SUP> of DO) and three different diluted types of NBs: 18.4 mg·L<SUP>-1</SUP> of DO (NB1:4), 26.1 mg·L<SUP>-1</SUP> of DO (NB1:2), and 43.9 mg·L<SUP>-1</SUP> of DO (NB1:0). Oxygen NBs were generated using an aerator (SNT-03, Fawoo Nanotech Co. Ltd., Korea) and dispersed in tap water. The germination rates of radish and wheat seed were not significantly different between the control and NB treatments.
