The concept of CPTED (crime prevention through environment design) focuses on the proactive response of controlling and preventing urban crimes based on the relationship between urban design and crime prevention and research was actively conducted about it. However, there is a lack of research that studies CPTED from an international aspect to identify the trends of different countries nations as well as research subjects. For this reason, this study aimed to identify the international trends of CPTED research through a digital network analysis. For this, 110 researches registered in SCOPUS were used as the samples to analyze the current status of countries that published reviews about CPTED and the keyword in order to highlight and focus on the trend of researches performed internationally. Moreover, the keyword was used as it represented the research contents and recognized it implicitly to analyze the keyword network and cluster. The research findings about the trend in each countries that issued the most literature about CPTED showed that research was most actively conducted in South Korea, USA, and United Kingdom but is appeared that the citation score and number of times was relatively lower in South Korea compared to the top countries. The keyword analysis result showed that the CPTED studies focused on urban environmental design so urban crime prevention measures, which had a possibility of occurrence in public spaces, fused themes with different fields of academics like humanities, sociology, engineering, and art and design. However, there is a lack of research that specifies the types of crimes about CPTED to suggest preventive measures. It is considered necessary to make up for this aspect and perform research that can specify crime cases and the types in research to propose a guideline. This research is meaningful given that a digital program and scientific and structure methods were applied to systematically investigate preceding researches about the trends of CPTED researches performed internationally.
