The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences and aspects of farmers" trips in the 1980s and 1990s, targeting the Daecheon Diary, to understand the human network, community, and various cultural phenomena of our society projected on individual trips. The 1980s~1990s were a period when various trips were made thanks to changes such as the increase of the middle class and the development of the state-led tourism industry and tourism complexes based on economic growth in the 1970s.
This study examined trip experiences and aspects by dividing them into members, purpose, and tourism space. The results according to the members and purpose are as follows. The first is the increase in trip led by villages community, public institutions, and clans. As the members of the trip expanded from family and social gatherings to villages and rural communities, trips were promoted for field trip to advanced places and visits to ancestral tombs. Second, it is the diversification of sightseeing trip and dual sightseeing trip. In addition to sightseeing, there were many combined trips such as visiting relatives and sightseeing, field trips and sightseeing, visits of historical sites and sightseeing, worship and sightseeing. They actively used sightseeing to strengthen community bonds.
The analysis results according to the tourist sites are as follows. The first is the conversion of natural tourism space to tourism resources. With the development of natural tourism spaces led by the state or private sector, interest in tourist destinations led to trip needs of individual or community such as nature exploration and relaxation. Second, it is the relationship between the humanities tourism space and the culture of village communities and clans. The history and traditions of the village communities and clans planning tourism have had a great influence on the selection of tourist destinations. Third, it is a symbol of development and modernization. The urban and industrial tourism space served as a symbol to confirm Korea"s economic growth and development of science and technology and to give pride.
