Since the COVID-19 pandemic in December 2019, daily activities should be done while social distancing and outdoor activities have been replaced by indoor entertainment to kill time. As the pandemic continues, people have more indoor free time on their hands, and many have started turning into watching TV shows and movies. Netflix, one of the most popular streaming services right now, saw a massive surge in subscribers’ numbers. The service that has been popular among people aged 10s to 30s now has an increasing number of subscribers in their 40s. This study’s ultimate objective is to redesign Netflix to suit the needs and enhance its subscribers’ satisfaction in their 40s. In this paper, a total of 10 South Korean participants in their 40s were studied to find out their needs and wishes regarding the ideal Netflix experience. The methods used are questionnaire, experience with tasks, retrospective interview, and online collage. Through the process, the 40s want to use Netflix for rest and healing. Some of them enjoyed it well, but most first-time users felt awkward while using it. So Netflix should be redesigned to appear more friendly to the 40s.
