The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of neurofeedback and combined exercise program participants on the height growth and brain function quotient, thereby suggesting the efficacy of the stress relief in adolescents for height growth and brain health. The subjects of this study were 30 elementary and middle school students in the rapid growth period, and 15 exercise group and 15 control group participated in neurofeedback training and combined exercise program regularly for 3 days a week. The neurofeedback and complex exercise program consisted of warm-up, main exercise, neurofeedback training, and cool-down. The measurement of variables was done by height, flexibility and brain function quotient. The height and flexibility were measured in the measurement items, and the brain function quotient was measured and evaluated by the basic rhythm quotient, self-regulation quotient, attention quotient, activation quotient, emotional quotient, stress resistance quotient, correlation quotient, and brain quotient. The results of the study showed that the neurofeedback and combined exercise program for 24 weeks showed the main effect(p<.001) and interaction effect(p<.001) in height, flexibility, weight and body fat after participation. In brain function quotient, main effect(p<.001) and interaction effect(p<.001) were shown in basic rhythm quotient, self-regulation quotient, activation quotient, emotional quotient, stress resistance quotient, correlation quotient, brain quotient. However, the attention quotient did not differ between groups. In conclusion, neurofeedback and combined exercise program applied to this study showed significant effects on height growth and brain function through stress relief. Therefore, it is expected that the application of neurofeedback and combined exercise program to the growth development of adolescents will contribute to the growth of adolescents, the stress relief, and the quality of life improvement.
