This study was conducted for the purpose of suggesting the process of organizing and documenting plays in Korean literature. To this end, it was necessary to comprehensively organize and consider the plans that have been constructed and aggregated until now. Four are the main tasks of aggregation that have been performed so far: “accumulation,” which primarily collects and publishes plays and gathers them in one place; “selection work,” which uses selection and exclusion criteria to choose aesthetically refined works; “excavation work,” which supports the system in finding missing and alienated works; and “expansion work,” which expands the scope of Korean modern and contemporary plays and of Korean literature. Based on these four aggregation works, Korean drama archives introduced in the Korean Literature Museum should also be constructed as containing literary materials according to the planned aggregation work from their establishment.
