This longitudinal study examined the effects of 3-5 year old children’s physical and relational aggression on social impact and preference based on ages and gender. Data was first collected at the age of and 3. Social impact and preference were measured by sociometry, whereas the physical and relational aggression were measured by teacher ratings. The same data was collected at the age of 4 and 5. The results showed that physical as well as relational aggression increasingly predicted high social impact for boys from the age of 4 to 5. Moreover, physical as well as relational aggression increasingly predicted low social preference for both genders from the age of 3 to 5. Results highlight that physical and relational aggression predict peer group adjustment for preschool children. Based on the results of study, intervention suggestions for preschool children’s aggression were made.
