The study analyzed medical knowledge produced/distributed in North Korea since the 2000s from a gender perspective. First, the failure to recognize gender as a single analytical category or variable leads to a decline in scientific quality. Second, women"s health is being used to propagate their chiefs under dictatorship, and medical knowledge about women is organized only in the moral and economic aspects that do not undermine the political "honor" of the North Korean authorities. Third, since 2000, North Korea"s medical knowledge has been more sexist and more focused than other societies of the same time. This is a historical phenomenon that shows that gender inequality in medical knowledge has also been strengthened in the process of maintaining the unique dictatorship.
