This study explores the effects of leadership education for low-income children by using a mixed method. Through this, analyze the effects of children’s leadership skills and self-esteem in various and in-depth ways.
Quantitative research analyzes the effects of the leadership skills and self-esteem among low-income, high-grade children and qualitative research conducted a multidimensional analysis of changes in children after leadership education through interviews with children, parents and teachers. Quantitative research has shown statistically significant positive effects for children with leadership education in terms of level of awareness of leadership life skills. Analysis of qualitative research also confirmed positive changes in children’s social skills and emotional intelligences from a common perspective of children’s self-reliance, parents and teachers.
Based on these results, the study discussed ways to expand leadership education in the home – school – community.
