This study is retrospective survey study of grasp the factors of return visit targeted to 1,182 patients who visit for 1st time and 664 patients who revisited within 12 months after 1st visiting in 3,131 cases of over 65 years older adult patient who utilized 2 emergency departments of university hospitals in Urban and Rural Complex City. The analysis result shown among the older adult that utilized an emergency departments, following cases appeared as high. In case of having diabetes (OR=1.269), In case of having a variety of comorbidity including chronic disease (OR=1.836), In case of taking many numbers of medications (OR=3.166), older adult that utilized emergency departments with non-emergency condition (OR=3.428). As overcrowding of emergency room caused by return visiting of a older adult with chronic disease and non-emergency condition, it seems like administration of chronic disease for older adult is needed, and in future, countermeasure for older adult Living in community"s health promotion and prevention of visiting emergency departments will be necessary.
