The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of class recognition on donation behavior. Also, this study attempts to examine the mediation effects of perception of social mobility. Subjective class identification can have a significant impact on prosocial behaviors such as donations due to factors such as social trust and psychosocial stability. The main point of this study is that such effects could be mediated by the recognition of the possibility of class mobility. This study examined the mediation structure by dividing the preception of class mobility into intra-generations and inter-generations. In order to deal with the path structure, this study used the partial least squares model(PLSM). The analysis showed that subjective class identification had a direct positive influence on donation behavior. We also observed that the perception of the possibility of class mobility had a mediating effect in both companies. Although subjective class identification was positively related to both variables of perception of the possibility of class mobility, the influence of the two variables on donation behavior turned out to be opposite.
