This paper aimed to introduce the achievements of <Revision and Enlargement of Encyclopedia of Korean Culture>(2007ᐨ2017). Also, this paper suggested to directional nature of <Duration publishing of Encyclopedia of Korean Culture>(2018∼2027). At the past, in 〈Revision and Enlargement of Encyclopedia of Korean Culture〉, articles almost of 10 thousands were contained to Encyclopedia of Korean Culture. At this publishing business, a first-edition of Encyclopedia of Korean Culture was converted to electronic documents. And articles composed of those electronic documents were serviced to internet portal site. But revision on articles of a first-edition of Encyclopedia of Korean Culture was not accomplished harmoniously. In addition to, articles contain plan on modern history of Korea was not established.
Publishing business on 〈Duration publishing of Encyclopedia of Korean Culture〉(2018∼2027) will be carried out as a contribution business for the Academy of Korean Studies of government, during 10 years. From now on, in this business, these hardcore issues will emerge. The first, redesign of classification system and description system of Encyclopedia of Korean Culture will be requested vitally. The second, extension of multimedia contents is necessary. The third, active answer system about public inquires on Encyclopedia of Korean Culture will be organized.
