This paper mainly explores a group of Korean college students’ attitudes and perceptions towards learning English idioms in the classroom by looking into the survey administered after they received instruction on English idioms for a certain period of time. The findings show that most of the students have positive attitudes and perceptions towards learning English idioms. Quite a large number of students indicated that they need to learn more about English idioms in order to effectively communicate with native speakers of English. Nearly half of the students who participated in the research answered that they were not interested in learning English, but after learning about English idioms they became interested in learning English. This implies that learning English idioms can improve students’ motivation to learn English.
