I looked into with setting of reality, penetration of reality, and healing regarding GuanYinZhuan(觀音傳) of the Myoung(明) Dynasty and NanHaiJi(南海記) of the Cheong(淸) Dynasty. The reality of this paper means that the character expresses dissatisfaction and desire about reality’ in the humanistic sense. The penetration of reality means to reveal the hidden side of desire and dissatisfaction. Regarding the healer MiaoShan(妙善), the essence of GuanYin(觀音) which work the salvation of all creatures is replaced with the healing. This is based on the basic contents of the two works, “Miaoshan cures her father’s disease.” The research method is to extract and analyze unit of story focusing on the person who reveals oneself. First, it introduce NanHaiJi which had never been studied individually at home and abroad. Second, it proves the role of Miaoshan as the healer. Third, it raises the possibility of applying Chinese classical narrative to the humanistic healing of modern people. Fourth, it suggested that the cause of reproduction of the Miaoshan’s stories is healing and the possibility of future development. Further in-depth study of healing through character relations except Miaoshan and GuanYin is possible.
