｢The Nature Park Law｣designates the areas, which may protect natural ecosystem or natural and cultural view and contribute to national hygiene, leisure, and emotional life by sustained use of them with the representative of natural ecosystem or natural and cultural view, as national part, provincial park, or county park and has them to be preserved and managed. Recently, with the introduction of a five-day workweek and increased demand of tourism and leisure, the significance of provincial parks has been appealed but they are severly ruined by the government's economic logic based on development policy resulting reckless development and destructed ecosystem in the process of propelling its compressive policy on rapid growth in economy. Therefore now is the time to seek the measures to realize 'sustained use' of provincial parks. This study will identify the problems of provincial park system and seek the reform measures. Chapter 2 reviews provincial park system on the whole. This chapter is composed of a constitution, nature park system, and the concept, current status, designation, and management of provincial park system. Chapter 3 identifies the managerial problems of the provincial parks and chapter 4 would extract the reform measures. In chapter 5, I propose my suggestion.
