Glycolysis has a main function to provide ATPand precursor metabolites for biomass production. Althoughglycolysis is one of the most important pathways in cellularmetabolism, the details of its regulation mechanism and regulatingchemicals are not well known yet. The regulation of the glycolyticpathway is very robust to allow for large fluxes at almostconstant metabolite levels in spite of changing environmentalconditions and many reaction effectors like inhibitors, activatingcompounds, cofactors, and related metal ions. These changingenvironmental conditions and metabolic reaction effectorswere focused on to understand their roles in the metabolicnetworks. In this study, we have investigated for constructionof the regulatory map of the glycolytic metabolic network andtried to collect all the effectors as much as possible whichmight affect the glycolysis metabolic pathway. Using theresults of this study, it is expected that a complex metabolicsituation can be more precisely analyzed and simulated byusing available programs and appropriate kinetic data.
