A study on the application of Ethics of Care in personality educationLee, Mi-ShickDukcheon Middle SchoolPersonality education is concerned with growing moral persons through developing theirmorality. But personality education has many difficulty in school. So, We concerned about newtheory in personality education. All children should be educated for the growth of goodcharacter. So it is important to create caring community in school. we study a theoreticalground and application about the ethics of care. Because ethics of care is a personality ethics.Gilligan insists that the person who think the care of others is more important than anyother ethics is morally mature. She points out that morality is composed of two different,justice and care in association with sex. According to her, the probiems of an ethics of justicecan be overcome by a morality of care.Noddings deals with care ethic in the systematic frame on basis of Gilligan’s arguments.Noddings suggests two important education factors relating to developing care ethics: theprocess such as modeling, dialogue, practice and confirmation, and the teacher’s role of caring.And Martin analyzes western liberal educational philosophy and modern curriculum critically
