This article intends to examine how pschoanalysis and history merged in Michel de Certeau’s interdisciplinary scolarship. As historian he has thought culture, politics and history are corelated by psychoanalytic unconsciousness. By that method he has focused several case-studies proposed by Freud’s historical works, such as A Seventeenth-Century Demonological Neurosis(1922) and Moses and Monotheism (1939) particularly, etc. At first, Certeau was interested in psychoanalysis and Freud through Jacques Lacan who established ‘Paris Freudian School’ between 1964- 1980. Lacan call for in 1955 return to Freud, and by this influence Certeau perfomed this return thoroughly and Freudian pychoanalysis based history studies. In Certeauian perspective his psychohistory aimed to critic of modernity constructed by cunning of reason and thechnocratic system, in esentially. In Certeau’s view, above mentioned Freud’s historical writings has duality, as Moses was ‘Egyptian Moses’, that scientific in method, and ‘roman’, ‘fiction’ and ‘myth’ in writings. So his historical-writings are multi-plural <science/fiction>. From this principle for Certeau history is, in it’s figures, paradoxically science and litterature in equally. In Certeau’s psychohistory, most essential concepts of psychoanalysis are ‘return of repressed’ and ‘rupture of instauratrice’. Former means, in effect, defeated and exclusived are resurrections by form of a new reincarnation of law and institution, and later says courses of historical things are traces of ‘rupture’, ‘interrupt’ and ‘betrayal’ etc.
