‘Khüree duu khögjim(xүрээ дуу хөгжим)’ is the new traditional music genre in Mongolia people, which is handed down with being created as the elegant music culture focusing on royal court and temple from the middle and late 19C to the early 20C. As for the singularity, it is the music culture, which was formed by a change in the socio-historical living environment from the pastoral society to the settled society in light of Mongolian history, and by the urbanization of becoming the center in politics, economy and culture, and is the socio-phenomenological music culture that took place in the Dark Ages of social history at that time. ‘Khüree duu khögjm(xүрээ дуу хөгжим)’ is what musical experts in ‘Khüree(xүрээ)’ created as new music after borrowing ardiin bogino duu(ардын богино дуу), which is non-specialist’s song of having been inherited from people. It was passed down as decent music culture after being born as one of ‘court songs and music(宮廷歌樂)’ up to the period of ‘Ikh khüree(Их xүрээ, year in 1706-1911),’ which had been the Dark Ages in the Mongolian History, but was spread into popular music culture as ‘urban songs and music(都市歌樂)’ according to a socio-historical change into the commercial performance stage following the period of ‘Niislel khure(Нийслэл xүрээ, year in 1911-1924)’ that became independent from Manchu(Qing).
