A Study on Yun Dong-Joo's poems This study aims to investigate life and faith of poetry world from the viewpoint of relativity. First of all, poet Yun showed an attitude of recognizing history as a suffering. The viewpoint such as regarding history as suffering can be connected with the biographical life of colonial elite, and was distinct in several poems of his like 《The Beatitudes》. His historical view when considered from the viewpoint of relativity between life and faith is a problem that should be solved in the Christian method. Poet Yun Dong-Joo seeks to solve this problem through the Christian ceremony of sacrificial lamb. Yun tries to overcome contradiction of life in the dimension of Christian faith by confronting history of suffering and by determining the life of sacrificial history. As an effort to continue to live historical life seriously as a sacrificial lamb, Yun Dong-Joo proved to show reflection of his present life in the imagination of future redemption. Accordingly, to Yun Dong-Joo poem-writing has the meaning of discovering and realizing a true Christian value. It is because while poetry pursues and plans ideal things, history tells the truth about human problems, showing real strength facing in an attempt to realize ideal things, and describing true possibility of future society. In other words, Yun Dong-Joo through his poem-writing is considered to have shown his intention that pursues and plans present problems which he as a colonial elite faced through Christian ideal value.
