Dongnae shell mound have been reported with various remains and animal bones. In a recently, the bones were analyzed by stable isotope analysis and radiocarbon dating. And we report the result of analysis and think about diet and livestock breeding system. The result of radiocarbon dating reveal that human bone was existed at the mid-third century. And the human bone is consumed mainly C3 plants but also some seafood and C4 plants. This trend is likely in domesticated pig. On the other hand, the dog was found that the consumption of more seafood. We are estimating the shape of the animal breeding through such analysis, the ratio of C4plant as millet seems likely have been different in accordance with the livestock. In addition, it is probable cattle and horses were being bred in same way, it can be considered through the result of stable isotope concentration. Yet the analysis of the human and animal bones by isotope are not much in Korea. , The shortcomings of this report is to be complementary if the later analysis and the excavation are increased.

동래패총에서는 다양한 토기류와 함께 동물뼈가 보고되었다. 최근 발굴유물의 재조사 과정에서 인골을 확인하고 식생활과 연대를 알기 위해서 안정동위원소분석과 방사성탄소연대측정을 실시했다. 그리고함께 출토한 동물뼈에 대해서도 동일한 분석을 진행해 동래패총인들의 식생활과 가축사육의 일면을 고찰했다. 출토한 인골의 연대는 3세기 중엽경으로 밝혀졌다. 안정동위원소분석의 결과 인골의 탄소동위원소비율은 -19.1‰, 질소동위원소비율은 9.86‰이었다. 이와 같은 수치는 벼와 같은 C3식물을 주로 섭취하면서 약간의 해산물과 잡곡을 섭취했을 가능성이 있다. 이러한 결과는 집돼지에서도 보인다. 이에 반해 개는 탄소비율이 -17.8‰, 질소비율이 10.9‰의 결과 인골보다 많은 해산물을 섭취했을 가능성이 있다. 안정동위원소분석의 결과 소의 탄소동위원소비율은 -16.9‰ ~ -16.0‰의 범위로 확인되고, 질소는5.52‰ ~ 6.19‰이었다. 말의 탄소동위원소비율은 -19.0‰ ~ -17.5‰이며, 질소동위원소비율은 6.19‰ ~ 6.38‰ 범위의 결과를 얻었다. 이런 분석치를 통해서 가축사육의 형태를 추정해 보면, 탄소동위원소비율이 각 가축별로 차이가 나고, 이는 각 종별로 잡곡과 같은 Ｃ４식물의 섭취비율이 달랐을 가능성이있다. 또한, 잡곡과 같은 사료의 제어가 가능한 사육의 형태를 유추할 수 있다. 또한, 소와 말은 거의 동일한 방식으로 사육했을 가능성이 높다. 이는 안정동위원소분석의 결과가 집중하는 현상을 통해 유추할수 있다. 아직 한국에서 이 시기 인골과 동물뼈에 대한 안정동위원소분석 사례는 많지 않기에 본고에서 당시의모습을 어렴풋이 유추해 보았다. 이는 추후의 분석과 발굴이 증가한다면 보완 가능할 것으로 생각되며, 본고에서는 자료축적의 측면과 함께 현 단계에서의 한계점과 연구방향을 제시하는 것에 의미를 두고자한다.
