The government of Korea reached agreement on expanding the Korean company into Central America at the 3rd-SICA Summit,June 30, 2010. South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak was designed for assist the Central America with supplying safety training programs to strengthen policing cooperation. To mitigate of aggravated security in the Central America became the foremost priority to implement commitment of the 3rd-SICA Summit. Although the importance of securing each region's policing for official development assistance, the government of Korea has not been inspected practical measures and other affairs of policing cooperation in the Central America. The study, therefore, would 1)explore the current state and 2)cases of policing cooperation with other countries, then 3)applications of policing cooperation in the Central America would be argued. As examining the current status of policing cooperation with Korea in the Central America, firstly, the KOICA(Korea International Cooperation Agency) has supported the regions' social stability by Capacity-Building Project of policing sector such as strengthening police administrative capacity and constituting security system. The Korean government has not only established MDT project (Mobile Data Terminal project) and security system but also provided training service of Forensic Science and crime prevention in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Dominican Republic. As observing the status of policing cooperation with other countries in the Central America, secondly, USAID(United States Agency for International Development) operates NACMIS(National Automatic Criminal Management Information System) and the department of the special accident in Honduras. These efforts draw performing CARSI(Central America Regional Security Initiative) and remodeling police stations. Spanish Agency for International Development:AECID(La Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo) has conducted the designing project of community policing, the D-8 project, installing CCTV and restoring public areas in the harbor town of Puerto Cortés in Honduras. European Development and Cooperation: EuropeAid has fulfilled the PASS program and cultivated specialists. Lastly, the paper would propose applications of policing cooperation in the Central America: 1) policing cooperation by credit assistance and grant-type aid 2) establishment of security system,3) construction of the criminal justice system 4) technical support of the policing field.
