The purpose of this study is to design and apply a group counseling program to reduce the test anxiety of high school students to verify the effect of the program on reducing the test anxiety. This group counseling program to enhance school resilience is researched, analyzed, designed, developed and applied. It surveyed 96 to reduce the test anxiety high school students for actual requirement. It developed final program by pilot, experts of theories, on-the-spot experts. The group Bibliotherapy counseling program to reduce the test anxiety was developed based on the counseling program development model by Inwoo Park (1995) and designed as a 12-sesson program. For the test tool, the test anxiety test tool (TAI-K) developed by Moonjoo Kim (1991) was used, and the processing of the data was done by using a Mixed ANOVA analysis on SPSS/Windows 18.0 software. To compensate the limitation of the quantitative results, the self-report of the members of the groups and the observation reports from the counselors were analyzed as well. The findings from the study were as follows; the test group which participated in the group counseling program to reduce the test anxiety showed a significant change in anxiety level compared to the control group. The analysis results for the sub-domains also showed that the changes in the cognitive domain and the emotional domain of the test group differed significantly from that of the control group. The significance persisted in the general test anxiety domain as well.
