Linezolid is an antibiotic with antimycobacterial activity and used for patients with highly drug-resistant tuberculosis.
Peripheral neuropathy is a rare adverse effect of linezolid therapy. However, there has not been a report of peripheral neuropathy caused by linezolid in a multidrug-resistant tuberculosis patient, domestically. We present a case of linezolidinduced peripheral neuropathy in drug-resistant tuberculosis. The patient complained of neuropathic pain and abnormal sensory symptom after treatment of linezolid and the symptoms were reduced after discontinue of linezolid.
