The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of physical fitness level on the physical education field preferences in the Elementary Students. The physical education field can be classified into track and field, gymnastics, games, expression activities, physical fitness, and health. The total of 480 of elementary school student who are the sixth grade at Mok-po city were surveyed. the data were processed and analyzed with SPSS for WINDOW 12.0. The findings from this study were as follows;First, physical education was the most interesting subject for the students of elementary school. Preference field was game, track and field, physical ability, gymnastics, health, and expression activities in order. Second, the students had a significant difference in the interest in gymnastics activities according to the levels of physical fitness. The preference field was influenced by the gender and physical fitness. Third, there were significant differences of gender and physical fitness in the interest, interesting factor and preference field in track and field activities.
