This paper aims at overviewing the most serious problem in studying Korean history, its solution, and historical viewpoint that scholars of Korean history should cherish. One of the main problems concerning Korean historical study is that the contents of researches can't catch general people's attention. It was caused by several reasons such as academic character, tradition, and historical concept of scholars in the area of Korean history. Now, scholars should abandon their historical viewpoint clinging to colonialism as well as nationalism. They have to strengthen different nationalistic views can be accepted in the context of globalization, and historical views on state and people's centralism, parts of nationalism characterized by modern historical study in western society, that have not been effectuated. Korean historical study is enforced to contribute to make this country foremost and national competitive power highest. For this, the writer suggests that today's situation should be accounted well in the study of Korean history. It should be practical learning through which we do not deal with events of the past but describe our days and predict the future. In the field of Korean history, we have to erudite a history have been created by people's integrated struggling at that time, and to encourage all members in this country to devote themselves to making our history.
