In this study, the characteristics of the descendent group of the royal family in 16th and 17th centuries are reviewed based on statistical analysis of the conditions of amarriage in Choong-Chong’s daughter’s lineage registered at Seonwonrok. The first and second generations of the descendants of Choong-Chong’s daughters married with other royal relatives, therefore, their later generations’ blood lines were mixed to previous king’s bloodlines. From their third generation, although the rate of marriages with families which do not have a royal bloodline had been increased, the certain rate of the marriages with other royal relatives had been remained until their sixth generation. This tendency in their marriage became a central background that maintained their collective identity as a royal family. The case of a different treatment between concubines and their children confirms that different hierarchical treatment from a public hierarchical premise was applied to this royal family. Moreover, the marriage between Choong-chong’s daughters’ bloodlines and other royal relatives supported them to enter a government service and it was continued in their later generations.
