This article aims to analyze the corelations between Arabic characteristics and its social role.. Arabic and Islam are dynamic forces in the Arab World. Islam served as 'the main binding social force' in the Arab World. The Muslims have considered common homogeneous unity rooted in language and religion. The Arabic is Quran language as God's Language. Arabic was codified in the Quran in the form of religious language. With the codification of Quran, The Quran is considered the final authority not only on grammatical and idiomatic questions but also as regards literary style. The Quran is accepted as the highest linguistic achievement of the Arabic language in every possible respect. In everyday conversations, an Arab has to use the colloquial Arabic, which differs from one country to another,even from one city to the next. Islam is a global religion and Arabic also is a global language as Greek and Latin in history. Arabic is the sole linguistic means of communication among the Muslims, even with non Arab peoples. Islam and Arabic are feeling symbols like both faces of a penny. Arabs believe in Islam speaking Arabic. In this regard, this article is designed to study on the linguistic and social functions in Arabic and Islam. Arabic is using classical Arabic in official in high level, with daily dialogue, colloquial language in low level. Linguistic Diglossia in Arabic has to be study as linguistic and social functions.
