The sharp increase in world energy price purses the Trans-Caspian region to be one of the "Great Game" territory between world powers. The largest oil importers will obviously have to complete for influence in the oil and gas rich region. This area is traditionally under Russia's geopolitical and economic interests. Most of Western companies found that current investment climate in Central Asia to be unsatisfactory since Russian companies begun its expansion. It can be argued that Central Asia's energy policies are mainly motivated by the considerations on its relationship with the US, China, and Russia. This paper deals with economic issues of Central Asian energy and is based on Caspian oil resources connection with the neighbor countries as well as the international system.
