Central Asia is one of the rich repositories on earth. still there remain further unexplored areas of high potential resources. Meantime, both parties have emphasized mutually complementary economic structures having respective comparative advantages, i.e. Korea with capital and technology while Central Asian countries with energy, mineral resources and labor force. This matter has been a strongpoint for Korea and Central Asian countries to strengthen potential economic cooperation and friendship in the long run. However, evaluation is that Korea has not achieved sufficient outcome with respect to resources development cooperation with Central Asian countries and therefore, it is required for Korea to promote more vigorous cooperation relationship. Therefore, in order to continuously expand resources development cooperation project with Central Asian countries, it is necessary to prepare measures against undemocratic economic system which is the biggest entry barrier. Accordingly, it is required for Korea to promote cooperation with Central Asian countries in their actually necessary areas such as resource endowment, marketability and country-wise development phase in order to expand and strengthen resources development cooperation.
