Purpose:Thisstudywasperformedtoinvestigatethenursingstudent'sattitudestowardscommunicationskillslearningandtoexplorethepossibilityandtheconditionofchangingtheirattitudesaccordingtothecommunicationskilllearning. Methods:A totalof184nursingstudents(grade1and2)completedthe26-item communicationskillsattitudescale(CSAS)satisfactorilyandatotalof212nursingstudentsansweredtheopenquestionnaireforstudent'sattitudestowardscommunicationskillslearning.Factoranalysiswasconductedtodeterminethefactorsunderpinningthescale.Theinternalconsistencyofthesubscaleswasdeterminedusingcronbach'sα coefficients.SPSS12.0program wasusedforstatisticanalysis. Results:3 factors(｢The usefulness& importance ofcommunication skillslearning｣,｢The negativerecognition ofcommunication skillslearning｣,｢Theexcessiverecognition ofcommunication capability｣)wereextractedasaresultofCSASanalysis,whichwerereflectedwellintheresultofopenquestionnaire. Nursingstudentswereevaluatedtohavehighlypositiveattitudestowardcommunicationskillslearning,especiallyinthefactorof｢Theusefulness& importanceofcommunicationskillslearning｣. Conclusion:Highly positiveattitudesofnursing studentstowardscommunication skillslearning areexpectedtobecontributedtothedevelopmentofcommunicationskillseducationintheschoolofnursing.
