Democracy stands on the base of participation of citizen. Election education which help citizen to participate more and to make better decision is an essential part of citizenship education. On this study, various election education programs which were implemented in presidential election campaign period in America will be analysed to find a implication to Korean election education. In America, various election education programs which raise parents turn out with student, raise knowledge about election and political system, improve understanding about electoral issues by interactive discussion were implemented. Recently, election educations using internet and mobile platform increased to improve accessibility and interest of student. In Korea, election education in classroom should be more systemized and online method should be tried more aggresively.
