The researcher recorded the rhythm three times at the actual site of the Nalmoe Drum Dance performance and then analyzed and framed this rhythm into musical notes based on the content of the performance at the Daegu Culture & Arts Center on September 2, 2001.The drum rhythm of Nalmoe Drum Dance has been developed into variety in comparison with the drum dances of other regions and is performed in twelve sections of rounds due to the influence of Bisan Instrument Music of Peasants. Nalmoe Drum Dance is a male group dance characterized by its vigorous and high-spirited solemnity of the environment along with a strong militaristic element. Furthermore, the exclusive Chngjkkungi rhythm of Nalmoe Drum Dance and the unique Ttpegi tune of Kyngsang Province are the major characteristics of Nalmoe Drum Dance.A distinctive change of characteristic occurs in speed as the twelve sections progress on. Dividing these twelve sections into first, middle and last parts, the tempo of the first part increases gradually from moderate speed of Chngjkkungi to the fourth section of Tadregi. In the middle part, it repeated three times from a little slow tempo of the fifth section in Kanggangsullae to the fast tempo in ninth section of Kaein'garak. In the last part, it started with the slowest tempo in the tenth section of Salp'urigut, and its tempo increases while passing the eleventh section of Kaeinnori. Its tempo accelerates more in the twelfth section of Ttpegi-gut, and reaches the climax with the fastest tempo in the end of the section.
