Today, Yoga has become variously modified in a number of areas and has been interpreted to exercise for about health. Especially, people who practicing Yoga think that āsana of haṭha yoga is the whole of Yoga in these days. It is a means and a process that Yoga allows you to create the optimum conditions that can enter the body in meditation reach the ultimate truth. The āsana of Yoga, is not the whole of Yoga, is only a part of that, is one of the means and a step to create and prepare the body needed to achieve the goal of yoga, samāhi. In order to obtain samādhi through meditation, the posture for meditation is necessary and the meaning of the posture for meditation is āsana, in other words, a sitting method. Suitable āsana for meditation practice is to remove the mental and physical problems, it can be seen that have important implications as a means to reach the purpose liberation of yoga. Meditation means a flow of constant awareness toward the target. In classical yoga, āsana is used in the sense of sitting method and haṭha yoga is used in the sense of position. However, it can be seen that the training of haṭha yoga’s āsana is also required training to create the appropriate body for meditation. Classical yoga and haṭha yoga’s āsana is eventually preparation for meditation as practice asceticism and it can be called to go forth direction of āsana of yoga.
