Analysis of Nursing Intervention Studies Published by the Journal
of Korean Academy of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing
Using the NANDA, NIC, and NOC*

Purpose: This study sought to investigate the research trends of nursing intervention by analyzing of Nursing Studies using the NANDA, NIC, and NOC. Method: The subjects were 72 intervention studies published by the Journal of Korean Academy of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from 1992 to 2006. The data were analyzed by NANDA, NIC, and NOC. Result: Regarding the distribution of NANDA, NIC, and NOC, at the level of the NANDA domain, “role relationship” domain was largest, with a distribution of 29.0%, followed by “coping/stress tolerance” at 21.6% distribution; at the level of the NIC domain, “behavioral” domain was highest with a distribution of 73.8%, followed by 13.9% for “health system” at the level of the NOC domain, “psychosocial health” domain was largest with 49.9%, followed by “perceived health” at 14.9% distribution. Conclusion: The “role relationship”, “behavioral”, and “psychosocial health” domains of the NANDA, NIC, and NOC were the largest domains, respectively.
