Galdan’s invation of Khalkha Mongol in 1688 greatly influenced advancement of Northeast Asia history henceforth. The leading members of Khalkha Mongol, who fled to Inner Mongol due to this event was subjected to Ch’ing chao, later, and the east of Baikal lake was confirmed to the region of Russia by Nerchinsk treaty. Due to this, Russia could advance into Siberia, accordingly, acquire a bridgehead to gradually advance into Northeast Asia. When the event which became a clue for the advancement of Northeast Asia history henceforth is ‘Galdan’s Khalkha invasion’, this way, there's value to investigate the truth of this event. There are two views about the question about who is the contributor of this event. One is to suggest Tusiyetu Han, the other is to suggest Galdan. Of course, both people might have responsibility, however the researcher lays weight on Galdan. Research reports describe according to each researcher’s view. However, the important point is the effect of this event on future generation. However the dream of Galdan was to unity the whole Mongol with the help of Russia to realize the ideal of the beautiful Bulgukto(佛國土), the result was concluded with division of Mongol and reduction of Mongol area. It might be difficult to determine whether the annex of Buryat Mongol region of the east Bikal to Russia was better for Mongol people, however regardless of political profit, division of a race that had enjoyed the same language history, and custom in the same culture is nothing but an unhappiness. In this respect, the researcher considers that Galdan’s Khalkha Mongol invasion in 1688 was not a desirable event for the future of Mongol people.
