This research is intended to analyze how climate factors affect tourists visiting golf courses. To this end, data on daily visitors to A golf course located in Jeju Island for two years(2005 – 2006) and climate change during the same period were analyzed. Daily value of climate factors(minimum temperature, maximum temperature, average temperature, rainfall, cloudiness, humidity, wind velocity, etc.) and daily visitors to golf course were compared to find out if climate factors affect the number of golf course visitors. From the analysis, the following results can be acquired. In spring, change in the number of golf course visitors depending on minimum temperature showed significant difference. In summer, the number of visitors and sunlight time showed positive relationship. The number of visitors showed negative relationship with rain, rainfall, average humidity and cloudiness. In fall, the number of golf course visitors showed negative relationship with minimum temperature and average temperature. In winter, the number of golf course visitors showed significant difference in terms of weather, minimum temperature and average wind velocity. Climate factors of each season showed significant relationship with the number of golf course visitors. This research result provides appropriate methods to maximize golf courser user’s satisfaction and suggests how to operate golf courses effectively depending on climate factors. Moreover, this research lays the foundation for research on relationship between climate factors with location, tour industry and tour type.
