In terms of a framework for Christian morality, this study presents the two most representative moral approaches: the ethic of justice and the ethic of caring from the perspective of a Korean Christian care theorist. The intent is not to simply argue between the ethic of care and justice, and which is more important. Rather, this paper seeks to deconstruct, understand, and identify the fundamental differences of the two. This approach aims to present a new question to different Christian leaders: “In this scientific era, how can we empower people to make wise decisions involving the faith of Christianity?” In doing so, the main purpose of this study is for people to find their own identities in the world we will live in, through their own experiences and agency in faith. Ultimately, this paper seeks to extend the idea that faith education can only be effective in modern day society if the ethic of care is applied to engaged decision making. The ethic of care can engage the ethic of justice, and together, the two ultimately encourage individuals living faithfully in relation to God and to each other.
