This article aims to suggest tentmaker as an effective mission strategy for evangelization of Muslims today. For that ministry Korean Church needs to understand both the Islam and tentmaker mission. Firstly, Korean church should have a clear understanding about Muslim society such as history of Islam, Muhammad, Quran, and their cultures. In 7th century Islam was existed by Muhammad in Arab world. Today population of Muslim are increasing rapidly in Islam world. Muslim people are considered as an important mission areas today.
Also Korean Church needs a true understanding of lay tentmaker missionary. From a missiological point, a tentmaker can be defined as a missionary who has all the spiritual depth and scriptural knowledge of a traditional missionary and also serves vocationally in another professional capacity. Tentmaker is called as “self-supporting missionary,” “ambassador for Christ,” and “bi-vocational missionary.” A tentmaker missionary can enter the unreached peoples with Christian Gospel as a missionary. And also they can share the message with Muslim society in Islam nations. Consequently, tentmaker mission is so effective as a mission strategy for evangelization of Muslim today.
