The Story of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai(LiangZhu; 梁祝) is one of the greatest four stories in China. Many researchers estimate this story was created during the Eastern Jin Dynasty(東晉) period, and it has been presumed to get into general popularity and circulation during the Tang Dynasty period. In Korea, however, we cannot find some traces of the popularity between ordinary people until the story of Liang Shanbo(梁山伯傳) became popular to public in Chosun Dynasty period.
According to the research information made so far, the story of Liang Shanbo was created by the influence of The Story of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, and based on this original Chinese story, and the Korean writers added some embellishment on the original story.
When this Liangzhu story was introduced into Korea? There has been no established theory about the time of introduction into Korea, so far.
This essay is mainly about the research of three points, and they are like below:
1)Introduction about some modified stories of Korea based on the original LiangZhu series of China.
2)Difference between two stories, LiangZhu and the story of Liang Shanbo, of China and Korea.
3)Research about the book of “10 Transcribed Poems(十抄詩)” and the relation between the book and the Story of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai.
