In the age of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the spread of donation culture should be realized by finding various donation methods that can motivate potential donors. Facebook was recently selected as the longest-running social networking site for Koreans. The study looked at the Facebook based social donation media, ShareNcare, to explore their intent to donate. The purpose of this study was to explore the interactions, information values, Internet technical features, SNS characteristics, internal motives, social donation media flow(SDMF), and to explore the contribution relationships between social donation media by applying the social and technical system theory. The data were collected from college students of A university 203 students in Gyeongbuk area from December 20, 2017 to January 10, 2018. The results of the study were as follows. First, social characteristics of interactions, information values, were shown to have a significant influence on the internal motives of donation. Second, it was discovered that the technological features of Internet technologies had positive effects on SDMF, whereas SNS characteristics did not. Thirdly, SDMF have shown to have a significant effect on the internal motivations of the donation. Fourth, the donation`s internal motivations and SDMF have shown to have a significant effect on the intention of clicking on ‘Good’ or ‘Share’ through social donation media. Finally, the overall implications, limitations of study, and agenda for future research were discussed.
