The purpose of this study is to understand the effects of couple counselling and parental education through Art Therapy on parental types and rearing behavior change. The subjects are a husband and a wife, who show problems in rearing their child in the Parent Type Scale Test and have difficulties in relationships with their child and themselves. The measurement tools in this study were Parent Type Scale and Rearing Behavior Scale. With pretest and posttest, the change of parent types and parental rearing behaviors was researched. The collected data through these steps revealed the change of the couple from the controlling and neglecting type to the benevolent and strict type resulting in positive change. According to the result of this study, parent type and parental rearing behaviors of 1 couple brought about positive change. Therefore, running parallel with couple counselling and parental education through Art Therapy has a positive effect on parental rearing behaviors and parent type.
