  The purpose of this study is to draw the common opinion shared by developmentalists and to suggest a way for their constructing the process of early childhood curriculum.
  To achieve the purpose, this study will research perspectives of developmentalists and establish a point of development in educational meaning.
  On the other hand, this study will provide theoretical foundation of DAP and influence of teaching strategy that teachers are the central role in the classroom.
  The term "developmentally appropriate" has become prominent in early childhood professional journals, books, conference presentation, and advertising materials. It seems that researchers, teachers, theoreticians, and parents have all become involved in the "developmentally appropriate" discussion.
  In point of fact, the National Association for the Education of Young Children issued a position paper entitled "Developmentally Appropriate Practice in Early Childhood Programs Serving Children from Birth through Age Eight".
  This position paper has been widely accepted and used in the field of early childhood education. The content of study essentially argues that professionally qualified early childhood education practices can be evaluated by whether or not they are appropriate to the developmental level of the children being served.
  The acceptance of this study suggests that there is a consensus in the field of early childhood education concerning curriculum.
