본 연구는 현 국가수준의 교육과정인 3-5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서에 나타난 ‘다문화’관련 활동을 분석함으로써 유치원 교사들이 ‘다문화’교육활동을 연령별 생활주제에 따라 균형 있고 효과적으로 계획, 전개하는데 도움을 주며, 앞으로 국가가 계획・보급하고자 하는 ‘다문화’관련 자료와 프로그램을 개발함에 있어 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 따라 3-5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서에 나타난 ‘다문화’관련 활동의 교육내용, 영역, 활동유형 및 활동형태와 영역 및 유형, 생활주제별 비중을 분석준거에 따라 분석하였다. 분석결과에 의하면 첫째, ‘다문화’관련 활동의 교육내용은 3세 다양성 16개(38.10%), 4세 관계형성 318개(61.39%), 5세 관계형성 316개(64.49%)로 가장 많은 비중을 보였다. 둘째, ‘다문화’관련 활동의 영역은 3세 7개(38.89%), 4세 72개(35.47%), 5세 76개(40%)로 나타난 사회관계영역을 모든 연령에서 가장 비중 있게 다루고 있었다. 셋째, ‘다문화’관련 활동의 활동유형 및 활동형태와 영역 및 유형은 3세 3개(33.33%), 4세 12개(14.81%), 5세 13개(16.46%)로 나타난 대・소집단 활동의 이야기 나누기를 모든 연령에서 가장 비중 있게 다루고 있었다. 넷째, 생활주제별 ‘다문화’관련 활동은 3세 ‘나와 가족’ 6개, 4세 ‘세계 여러 나라’ 65개, 5세 ‘세계 여러 나라’ 28개로 가장 높은 비중을 보였다.
This study is aimed at helping kindergarten teachers to plan and conduct multicultural educational activities in a balanced and effective manner for each age-specific life theme, and by analyzing the multicultural activities in Teacher's Manual for Ages 3-5 Nuri Curriculum, a part of current curriculum at the national level, In addition, this study is intended to provide basic information for developing data and programs on multiculturalism to be planned and provided by the government. Thus, the following categories of multicultural activities in Teacher's Manual for Ages 3-5 Nuri Curriculum were analyzed based on the following standards: educational content and area, and type, form, and area of activity, and weight of each life theme. The analysis revealed the following results. First, in terms of multicultural educational activities, the following results were obtained: 16 (38.10%) diversity activities for age 3; 318 (61.39%) building relationship activities for age 4; 316 (64.49%) building relationship activities for age 5. Second, as for areas of multicultural activities, there were 7 (38.89%) for age 3, 72 (35.47%) for age 4, and 76 (40%) for age 5. For all ages, social relationship area was dealt with most heavily. Third, in terms of type, form, and area of multicultural activity, the following results were revealed: 3 (33.33%) for age; 12 (14.81%) for age 4; and 13 (16.46%) for age 5. For all ages, conversation was dealt with most heavily in big and small group activities. Fourth, in terms of weight of multicultural activity for each life theme, the following results were obtained: 6 activities for age 3 that about ‘Me and my family’; 65 that activities for age 4 about ‘Various countries around the world’; 28 activities for age 5 that about ‘Various countries around the world’.
