This paper has two objectives. The first of those goals is explanation on current social issues of aging problems as a social problems and social welfare for the elderly at state of South Carolina in America, And the second is thinking of implications on social welfare for the aged in Korea. The contents of paper is structured as followings. There are overall sketchings on comprehensive general socioeconomic situation about South Carolina, aging problems as a social problems and social welfare for the elderly at South Carolina state, and the sequence on Korea. The important aging problems are minority`s poverty, especially the poverty of aged overcome from absolute level, health problems, and difficult of social mobility and daily living. And another issues are the security of housing, the rights of elderly, the solution of neglect, exploitation and abuse, and management of information on aging group. Probably long term care will become the most important public issues at South Carolina state, because of the change in the family`s pattern and support mind on elderly parents, and most of all community change totally.
