Report Errors
Many countries recognize the importance of the Halal market as the Halal-certified product expands and actively attack Halal market through cooperation with Islamic countries. Recently, the Korean central government and Agri-Food manufacturers have also set up strategies and aggressive responses to enter the Harlal market. Although the Harlal market has a common denominator as being Muslims, it should be noted that each Muslim market has different market and consumer characteristics. Korean Agri-Food export companies need suitable preparation for Halal Standard and Halal Critical Points for each country to be entered, because the each country has different implementation of the Halal Standard and different sensitivity to Halal Critical Points. In this study, the policy proposal to diversify the AgriFood export market by using the Halal certification includes establishment of Halal Food Policy System and Halal Market Certification Information Center, diversification of export destinations and items of Halal certified food, and provision of policy and technology strategies for diversified support of Export Infrastructure.
