This paper tries to analyze Shakespeare’s Romances, Cymbeline and Pericles in the view of Deleuzian nomadism. The palace in Cymbeline and the brothel in Pericles are fixed, territorialized, and striated space. The two places have fixed, authentic rules imposed by ruling power and every part of each place has its own fixed role. And people within the rigid and static boundaries (wall) of the two places are forced to/are willing to follow the rules and perform their duties faithfully without any doubt. In contrast, the forest and the sea, two main backgrounds of the two romances, are nomadic places. It means they are shapeless, deterritorialized, and smooth space without any socially given marks. They are open in all directions. And the main female characters, Marina and Imogen, can be considered as nomads or at least nomadic people, because they are outward-looking and characterized by movement and change. Thus, they refuse to passively yield and accept their roles given by the power such as a patriarchal father or a bawd; flight from the limitation; and set out on an authenti-seeking journey to the forest and the sea. During the flight-journey for true love and freedom, they are willing to take unfamiliar situations and strangers, establish new relationships with them using their artistic talent, fidelity and clever communication skill, and at last find their authenticity and a new way of life. Their nomadic power exerts a strong influence on a fixed, territorialized, and striated space and people living within. And it then leads to changes of the space and the people.
